World Water Day

The theme for World Water Day on 22 March 2025 is “Preserving our glaciers”. This theme emphasises the urgent need to combat the melting of glaciers, as it has a significant impact on water supplies in many countries.

 

Glaciers are vital sources of water for millions of people worldwide. Their melting not only causes devastating floods and landslides, but also reduces drinking water supplies, forcing people to travel long distances to fetch water.

Water Info Day

On Thursday 27 March 2025, the Water Info Day will take place in the 1931 Congrescentrum Brabanthallen in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. This event serves as a conference, exhibition and meeting day for professionals from the water sector, including employees of water boards, Rijkswaterstaat, provinces, municipalities and drinking water companies.

 

The day offers an extensive conference programme with topical themes, an exhibition area with around 60 exhibitors and plenty of opportunities for networking. The Water Info Day has been organised annually since 2009 and has developed into an important platform for knowledge exchange and cooperation in the water sector.
