This annual report provides a comprehensive overview of the quality of the Rhine’s water. New in this report is the inclusion of data on the intake location at Haringvliet. In addition, we address the exemptions that Dutch drinking water companies require in order to abstract river water when the quality of the water to be abstracted does not meet the signalling criteria. Finally, as in previous years, we report annually on chloride, for which the long-term monitoring series dates back to 1875.
